Later, Michele Albertengo,
grandfather of Livia and Massimo, the current owners, ran the company
between the two world wars, combining passion and confidence
in the future. Flanked by his wife Lucia, the soul of the family,
Michele wisely expanded the business until 1954, leaving a legacy
of knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit.
In the 1950s, Domenico Albertengo, with the support of his wife Caterina,
introduced high quality flours from selected mills, breaking with the local
tradition of exchanging flours through the “chersuva” system, and then started
producing panettone cakes, a decision that laid the foundations for the
company’s future success.
In 1988, the specialisation in panettone made the Albertengo brand a symbol
of quality. Two years later, in 1990, Moscato Panettone was born,
a symbol of innovation that opened up new horizons for the company.
